The Update

Well, you all pulled through. Tyrel laid it down and now here we are updating the blog as promised.  It's true, blogging doesn't just have to be for others to see, but in our case it really is.  We are pretty avid hand written journal keepers, so the blog is for you peeps.

Cambri Suzanne Salisbury was born Feb. 26, 2012. Labor and delivery were awesome this time around! Labor started Saturday morning.  Contractions were coming every 8-10 minutes, but they were in no way painful or even uncomfortable.  Through out the day things got closer and closer together, but still no pain.  It kind of just felt like mild upset stomach that would come and go every few minutes.  Around 7:00 pm we were timing them at about 5 minutes apart.  I wasn't sure what to do.  Eventually I called the doctor and he told me to time them for another hour, if they stayed consistent I should come in to get checked.  Well, they were consistent and so I went in.  They checked and I was at a 6, so they admitted me. That was around 9:00.  Around 11:00 my contractions still weren't painful, I could talk and walk through them, but I decided to get the epidural.  Didn't want to chance things progressing too quickly once they broke my water.  So I epiduraled it up, then they broke my water. From midnight til 7:00 am I was in and out of sleep wondering when this baby was going to come.  I was fully dilated around 4, but because I was trying for a VBAC they let me labor down as long as possible. Started pushing around 7:00 and Cambri was here by 8:25. Although the first bit of pushing wasn't really doing much, they were more just practice pushes. I loved this experience so much!  To have my little girl placed on my stomach for me to see her as soon as she entered this world was awesome!  I didn't get this with Julia.  Then they cleaned her up and laid her on my chest and I instantly felt so much love for my girl.  It was great.  Tyrel was an awesome help during the whole thing.  When we first got to the hospital we weren't decided on a name.  There were a few we were trying to decide on. However, Tyrel's favorite was Cambri, so while I was laying in bed, laboring/sleeping, Tyrel made the final decision and filled out the birth certificate information with Cambri Suzanne Salisbury.  He's so funny.  I'm glad he did it.  Our Cambri is definitely a Cambri. Here are some pictures.

Julia loves to be with her sister and do what she is doing
Both our girls love sucking on Daddy's nose
 Free Professional newborn shots

Grandma came up for a week and half to help keep Julia plenty entertained
What?  Aunt Amy sent me a new swimming suit?  Of course I will try it on with my Dad's shoes and socks.

Got to see her cousins and Grandma on the Pehrson side during Priesthood Session

 And her aunts

 Julia loved coloring eggs
Showing Cambri that both her and the little duck have heads
This is where Cambri spend most of her first few weeks

Julia LOVES having Cambri lay in bed with her for a bed time story

Our new bike trailer/jogger that has saved my life.  Before I got it up and running I was trapped in the house.  Now I can exercise with both of them!  As you can tell, they love it too.
Swimming at the hotel with the Salisbury's

Julia makes sure I know she is here too.
My cute girls the weekend Cambri was blessed (April 29th)
Cambri and Julia looked so much alike.  This is the same outfit Julia wore.  I will find a picture of her to show you...

Julia's new found love is the iPod.
I painted her fingernails.  When she looked at them she said, "PINK!" and that's when I found out that somehow Julia has learned most of her colors without me teaching her.
Loves to play with her sister.  If I ever try to stop Julia from playing with Cambri, Julia gets mad at me.
Awesome big sister

In other news, Tyrel is back in school and loving this semester.  He has a new perspective of "Come what may, and love it!"  It's doing good things for him, because he truly is loving it right now!
I'm busy with the little ones and my calling.  Loving it though!  Some days are better than other days (the sunny ones are better than the cloudy, windy ones). I'm just blessed to be able to be a stay at home mom and wife.  I've been doing a lot more cooking. I get a lot of recipes from eatingwell.com...it's all been great so far, I suggest going there. Basketball season has started for me as well.  I'm very excited to play and get back in shape!

Well, there you go!  Thanks for commenting and showing us that eyes pass over our blog.  It's just nice to know people look when you take the time to post.
