Curly

As some of you may know, I have curly hair.  When Julia was born with little to no hair, I would often think what it would look like when it came in.  Oh how I hoped it would be curly! I've always thought it would be so awesome to have a little curly haired girl just like me.  Dreams do come true!

I never thought I would be so excited to do my little girl's hair in the morning.  Now, I know it isn't all fancy with the bows and the little pig-tails, but let's be honest...with hair like that, who needs bows and pig-tails! Adorable!

Update on Julia.  She is walking all over the place.  She walks while she drinks, she walks while she reads, and she walks while she talks on her cell phone.  Tyrel and I just can't get enough of that cute little walker.  Another awesome thing, we have had our first experience saying something to Julia and knowing that she understands us.  When we tell her to go find her Mr. Monkey or her sippy she walks right to them...even if they are out of sight and in another room.  So fun!  Not much of a talker yet, but I'm guessing it wont be too long. Life just couldn't get any better.

Recent happenings and a one year old

Tyrel and School:
Sometimes a semester comes along that defines a person and where they are at within their studies...Winter semester 2011 is this semester. The school work is kicking my butt in a nice positive sort of way that makes me appreciate what I am learning. And best of all I wake up every morning not dreading class, I am excited to learn!

Ty and Suz and the sports they play:
We are playing on a ward coed basketball team and playing well...especially Suzi. Everyone in the ward is sure that she is the AllStar of the team and as the proud husband of a wonderful wife I agree. The funny thing about the coed league up here is girls get more points for the shots they make. For example: Suzi makes a layup she gets three points, or four points for a three point shot. So you can see that if a team has really outstanding players (Suzi) then chances are your team is pretty good. We also play on a guys and girls competitive team, with our teams both enjoying a 4-1 record. Suzi is a great defender and a lot of fun to watch, she is a difference maker on her team. We have both sprained our right ankles, but found ourselves playing sooner than we should have...what can I say we love the game.

Jules:
She is 1!!! Can you believe it?? She is slowly but surely gaining more confidence in walking, she has taken a few spills that have resulted in bruises and bumps. I am pretty sure that she is getting all of her teeth at once right now, seriously though she is going through some major teething drama. She is the greatest and the most fun I wish all of our faithful readers could come and spend a day with her because she has the power to make ones day the greatest. Suz and I love being her parents, we love drinking in the small/precious moments we get with her because we both now that before we realize she will be dating boys and the like.

This is about as brief as I could be for now, hope you enjoy the pics.

As all of you can see we love our daughter immensely!! How couldn't you??
